Alexandre Starinsky

Translator, volunteer and benefactor, Starinsky has co-founded MAЇNO company whose support enabled the publication of a number of translations of modern Ukrainian literature into French. These include Stories by Oleh Sentsov (translated by Iryna Dmytryshyn and Alexandre Starinsky); Half a Century of Resistance: Crimean Tatar from Deportation to Return (1941-1991) by Gulnara Bekirova; The Donbas Anthology with stories authored by writers from the Donbas. The books were published by the Paris-based L’Harmattan publishing house as part of the Ukrainian Presence collection.
