‘It’s hard to be indifferent to the Book Arsenal Festival. Whether you are a publisher, author, illustrator, designer, seasoned reader or beginner, literary critic or cultural manager, curator or volunteer, if you are the person who reads, you look forward to it every year. Adult visitors traditionally take vacations for the Festival, the Kids&Teens Program audience skips school, parents with infants get together here and exchange lists of planned book purchases, 15 presentation venues impress with a variety of events, and the night concerts are sell-outs… The unique vibe of the Book Arsenal in the historical building of the Old Arsenal is created not only by the team of the institution that organizes the Festival, but also by all these wonderful people. And that is our strength.’
