‘Conscious Sensation’exhibition

Join us for the launch of ‘Conscious Sensation’ exhibition on September 28, 6pm at the ‘Mala Galereya’ Laboratory of Contemporary Art.

The exhibition ‘Conscious Sensation’ is the result of work of six artists – Andrii Dostliev, Olena Kovach, Maksim Finogeev, Kateryna Radchenko, Valery Veduta and Katya Buchatska. The conversation about archives, memory, loss and gaps and the possibility of their artistic representation has become the starting point of the project.

The exhibition reveals various aspects of photography as the main medium of memory: it appears as a mark, a stamp, a vague hint. The archives are subject to revisions that are of interest to the authors not only as a source of information, but as a field of historical manipulation and depersonalization of experience. – Oksana Barshynova

The exhibition will be on display until October 21 at ‘Mala Galereya’ of Mystetskyi arsenal.
