SPECIAL CARGO! The History of the Return of Ukraine’s Cultural Property. The exhibition opening

We invite you to the opening of the exhibition SPECIAL CARGO! The history of the return of Ukraine’s cultural property, which will be held on December 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the Mystetskiy Arsenal. The exhibition tells stories of the reclamation of the cultural monuments that were stolen from Ukraine in different periods of time.

The project is devoted to the return of the painting by Mykhailo Panin, Secret Departure of Ivan the Terrible before the Oprichnina (1911), to Ukraine. And also to everyone who at one time or another contributed to the return of cultural property to Ukraine as well as to those who are involved in this process today.

The exhibition SPECIAL CARGO!  features works of Dutch masters from the collection of the Khanenko National Museum of Arts, a manuscript signed by Peter I from the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine, a collection of archeological artifacts, rare archival materials, inventory books, photographic documents, and centuries-old Pysanky collection, and also the history of their loss and return to Ukraine.

The exhibition opens on December, 12 at 6:30 p.m.
The admission is free on the opening day.
The exhibition will run until January 19, 2020.
