Open call for the “(Re) contexts. Stories” programme.
Mala Gallery – Contemporary Art Laboratory of Mystetskyi Arsenal launches an open call for the “(Re) contexts. Stories” programme.
We invite artists to bring observations of everyday, collective and personal stories into the field of art projects. Social and political events can be perceived through local contexts, as well as private history can be a part of the global. “(Re) contexts. Stories ” is a programme designed to give artists a space for discussion and implementation of ideas related to storytelling.
Within the program, artists will be able to refine / create their project. Selected participants will present ideas of their own artistic projects and get individual advice from experts on their further development.
The results of the “(Re) contexts. Stories” programme will be a group exhibition project that will take place at Mala Gallery of Mystetskyi Arsenal at the end of September.
Projects without media restrictions are invited to participate in the Program.
Selection of participants is carried out by the organizers of the Program through open competition on the basis of the completed electronic application at the link:
Selection criteria:
- project concept that is relevant to the theme of the Program;
- portfolio (PDF);
Both individual artists and artistic groups can apply for the program.
Schedule of the program: *
- The deadline for applications is 25.08
- Announcement of results – 28.08
- Project Discussion / Individual Consultations – 04.09 and 05.09
- Finalization of projects – by 15.09
- Exhibition opening – 27.09
