In this work Sasha Kurmaz captured Maidan activists and protesters sleeping on the floor of the occupied Kyiv City State Administration. The building has been used as a campus, where people, spending their days on the barricades, could get first medical aid, eat and have some rest. At the first sight nothing is going on and only after a while one could notice a subtle movement of the colorful blankets and rags caused by breathing. As opposed to canonic iconography protesters are being seen in the most vulnerable state, while sleeping. However, they demonstrate the highest point of trust sharing their sleep with other fellows.
