The VII Great Sculpture Salon – the largest art-forum in Ukraine dedicated to the plastic art, which fully reflects processes in the modern Ukrainian sculpture.

The Great Sculpture Salon always changes its thematic approach by bringing into focus current trends, retrospectives and cultural achievements. This year the concept of the project is “experiment” in its various expressions, transformation from classical sculpture, which, nevertheless, remains the starting point, to spatial object and installation.

The challenge sculpture always faces is creating space around itself by using new opportunities. The modern Ukrainian sculpture while searching for solution highlights experiment taking into account plastic intraspecific tasks. This experiment works due to contextual modifications; uses other “non-sculptural” materials; actively engages modern tools to expand and enrich the image where light, motion, color, and sound play an important role. One of the important creative methods is principle of “destruction as creation”. Movement through destruction, willful destruction of form, the phase of a new form creation through ruins – are key features of many artistic practices.

The VII Great Sculpture Salon will present the works of more than 50 Ukrainian creators; 200 new works will be first presented to the public and, moreover, individual presentations of various artists, such as: Petr Antipov, Igor Bereza, Vasiliy Byk, Nikolai Biryuchinskiy, Yekaterina Veshtak-Andreoni, Irina Veshtak-Ostromenskaya, Vladimir Garbuz, Dmitry Greck, Mikhail Gorlovoy, Igor Grechanyk, Victor Gryza, Olesya Dvorak Galyk, Yegor Zigura, Nikita Zigura, Dmitriy Yv, Andrey Ilyinskiy, Oleg Kapustiak, Svetlana Karunskaya, Alexander Karunskiy, Andrey Kirichenko, Anna Kiseleva, Vladimir Kochmar, Alexander Lidagovskiy, Anton Logov, Geeya Miminoshvili, Natalia Mudruk, Yuri Musatov, Valeriy Pirogov, Ivan Pidgayny, Andrey Pinchuk, Oleg Pinchuk, Nata Popova, Liza Portnova, Victor Prodanchuk, Yana Rozdobudko, Anatoliy Rotar, Vasiliy Tatarskiy, Anatoliy Tverdy, Zinoviy Fedik, Vladimir Khizhinskiy, Oksana Chepelyk, Vasiliy Yarych, Uliana Yaroshevich; and also thematic special projects.
