Andriy Bondar

Curator of the special program Who am I? In Conversation with Neighbors

Ukrainian writer, publicist and translator. Author of four poetry collections and three flash fiction books. He translated dozens of books from Polish and English. Graduated from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in 2001 (Master of Arts in Philology). Worked as a literary editor in Dzerkalo Tyzhnia and Gazeta.UA. Andriy Bondar is a columnist of Deutsche Welle and Zbruch. Scholarship holder of the Polish literary scholarships Gaude Polonia (2003, 2016) and Homines Urbani (2004). Since 2019, he has been a member of the Ukrainian PEN Club. Prize winner of Smoloskyp Publishing House (1997). Winner of the BBC Book of the Year Award in the category Essays (2018).

This year, within the framework of the Book Arsenal Festival, Andriy Bondar conducts the special program Who am I? In Conversation with Neighbors, each member of which is engaged in a dialogue with the Other and presents their own answer to the question “Who am I?”.
