When is the check in?

The order of arrival, installation, dismantling, departure is regulated by the terms of participation
at the Festival.
Arrival on the territory of the enterprise and installation of exhibition stands is carried out:
May 29 from 14:00 to 20:00
May 30 from 08:00 to 12:00.

We also remind you that we do not have loaders and bookshops.

In individual building, installation work can be started earlier with the written permission of the Organizer.

Do I need to register a car for arrival/departure?

By May 20, 2018, the Participant must fill out Google Forms , indicating the list of vehicles with the number of cars that will arrive on the territory of NKMMC “Mystetskyi Arsenal” and the name of the persons who will work on the stands (for mounting).

When is disassembly and departure?

Participants’ departure and disassembly are on June 3 from 20:00 to 22:00.

By this time, entry into the territory of motor vehicles will be prohibited.

You can also make an exit on June 4 from 8:00 to 12:00.

During the hours of the Festival, the departure of participants and the dismantling of stands is prohibited in accordance with the terms of participation. If a participant dismantles the stand before 20:00, the application for participation in the Book Arsenal of 2019 will be accepted only after the satisfaction of the applications of other applicants.

What is the mode of the fair and the festival?

What is the cost of tickets?
  • Full ticket – 70 UAH.

  • Preferential ticket – 35 UAH.

  • Family ticket – 150 UAH

  • For all days of the festival – 250 UAH.

  • The right to a privileged ticket is granted to pensioners, students, students (if there is a certificate).

    The family ticket is for two adults and one to four children aged 12 and over.

Will the loyalty program work?

On weekdays from 10:00 to 12:00 – the entrance is free of charge.

Free entrance for children under 12 years old, 1-2 groups of invalids, regular service members, ATO participants, museum workers (if available).

How to register for a participant in a festival or a professional audience?

For participants events (curators, moderators, interpreters, speakers, etc.) festival and professional audience of the festival (editors, proofreaders, translators, teachers of specialized subjects, literary managers and curators, etc.) provides accreditation via the online form

Event participants receive one-time invitations, a professional audience receives a pass for all festival days.

Registration will take place from May 10 to May 18. A notification about completing the registration will be sent to your email. By May 25 , you will receive an invitation or a pass if your registration is confirmed by the organizers of the Festival.

Please note that the invitations and passes contain a registered name and may be subject to a random check of the identity documents at the entrance. We ask you to bring the relevant documents together.

Once registered, the organizers will check you entered data on which will confirm your participation or persons whom you registered and you will receive an invitation or pass to a specified email address. The organizers are not required to explain the reason for the refusal to register.

How to register multiple participants as an event organizer?

If you need to register multiple event participants or professional colleagues to your email address, you can do this from your from your personal cabinet after completing your own registration.

After registration, the organizers of the festival will check the data you entered, on the basis of which you can confirm your participation or persons you registered, and you will receive an invitation or a pass to the specified e-mail address. The organizers are not required to explain the reason for the refusal to register.

Do I need to register booths?

Please note that publishers and illustrators are not required to register because each publisher or illustrator will receive the number of badges specified in the Terms of Use.

The Organizer provides the Participant with the following informational materials:

  • 5 invitations to the official opening;
  • passes for persons who will work on the stand (the number of permits depends on the size of the stand)

For 4 m2 and 6 m2 stand – 4 passes, 8 m2 stand – 6 passes or more may be provided if the relevant request of the Participant indicated in the questionnaire.

Illustrators receive two badges.

If I want to register non-event participants and event guests of my publisher or organization, can I do this?

No, registration and free attendance are provided only for event attendees and for professional audiences. For guest guests we recommend purchase an electronic ticket .

If I take part in several events on different days, how do I register?

You can add the required number of dates and events in which you participate. If the number of events exceeds 3 different days, we recommend that you register as a professional audience and get a permit for all days of the Festival.

If I do not see a kind of activity on the list, can I register as a "professional audience"?

You can do this. In the empty field in the “Activity” column, make your own option. Please note that the organizers have the right to refuse the registration confirmation without explaining the reasons.

Why did not I get an email confirmation?

If you have reached the last stage of registration and have seen the text with the greetings on registration, then you have completed the registration. You may not see electronic for the following reasons:

  • The wrong email address is not correct
  • The sheet fell into spam.
Is the confirmation of registration an invitation?

No, registration confirmation is not an automatic invitation. After registration, the organizers will check the data you entered, on which basis you can confirm your participation. Until May 25, you will receive an invitation or a pass to the specified e-mail address.

Invitations and passes are nominal, they can not be transferred to third parties. At the entrance, a random check of identity documents is carried out.

What publishing products are forbidden to trade and what can be the consequences?

In accordance with Article 28 of the Law of Ukraine “On Publishing” in the publishing business it is prohibited:

to produce into the world, to produce and / or to distribute products,

the content of which is aimed at the elimination of Ukraine’s independence, the change of the constitutional order by violent means, violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state, undermining of its security, unlawful seizure of state power, propaganda of war, violence, communist and / or national -socialist (nazi) totalitarian regimes and their symbols, incitement to interethnic, racial, religious hatred, committing terrorist acts, encroachment on human rights and freedoms, health the population;

to produce, produce and / or distribute products that promote the propaganda of the aggressor states and their individual actions that create a positive image of the workers of the agressor state, workers of the Soviet state security agencies, justify or recognize the lawful occupation of the territory of Ukraine.

State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting, as the central executive authority in the publishing sector, in the letter to the State fiscal service of Ukraine dated February 15, 2016 N 472/24/4, a list of 38 publications of anti-Ukrainian direction was formed. Also, we remind you that in accordance with sub-clause 1.6.2. The Regulations on the conditions and procedure for organizing and holding an exhibition-fair within the framework of the Seventh International Book-Arsenal Festival are prohibited from displaying products manufactured or purchased in violation of Ukrainian legislation, sold without permission of the legislation stipulated by applicable law, etc., violates copyright and / or non-proprietary or other intellectual property or contains information prohibited for distribution by Ukrainian legislation.

In case of its detection – the work of such an exhibitor will be terminated.

Please be vigilant about possible provocations.

We remind you that according to the terms of participation:

1.6.1. Exhibits are examples for commercial transactions and can be sold to visitors under the current legislation of Ukraine. The Festival organizer does not review and select the catalog of products for the stands of the Festival participants.

1.6.2. It is not allowed to exhibit products that are manufactured or purchased

in violation of Ukrainian legislation, is carried out without permits stipulated by the current legislation, etc., infringes copyright property and /

or non-proprietary or other intellectual property rights or contains information prohibited by Ukrainian law. The exhibitor is responsible for exhibiting such products.

The Participant agrees that all property damages caused to the Organizer and / or third parties with such violations, including, but not limited to,

in the form of filing claims or lodging claims to the Organizer

compensation for such damage, payment of penalties, court, legal fees and other expenses and / or the submission of claims by law enforcement agencies to the Organizer shall be reimbursed directly by the Participant.

What technical questions should an organizer know about?

We would like to inform you that there will be a plasma in each of the halls where you can show additional video or photo materials. Projectors for film show will be installed in the “UVK” hall (1st floor) and the Kinozal (2 floor), Workshop (2nd floor) Additional materials you can bring on the flash drive, but please note that the format for the video should be .mkv or .mp4 , and for the photo – .png or .jpg.

No laptops are provided. Your laptop should be with an HDMI input (or adapter) – this is especially true for macbugs. The password for connecting to the Mystetskyi Arsenal network will be communicated to you by our volunteers.

What is the duration of the events?

We kindly ask you to take into account (and prepare for the participants) that the events on the Book Arsenal lasted 45 minutes and only separate discussions – 1 hour 15 minutes. This year, the festival has a very tight schedule of events, so it is important that they be completed and start on time.

Is it possible to conduct business negotiations within the framework of the festival?

Within the framework of the Book Arsenal last year, a business platform for business negotiations between the players of the industry – both Ukrainian and foreign – was established. The comfortable wi-fi zone is located on the second floor (in the right wing), next to the cafe. This year, the team of the Ukrainian Institute of Books within the Book Arsenal acts as a platform partner and coordinates the reservation of table for negotiations.

10 tables will work during all the days of the Book Arsenal work from 10:00 to 16:00; one meeting set assumes 30 minutes of time at one of the tables.

Upon completion of the registration and processing of information, the Ukrainian Institute of Books will send a table with specific time blocks that you can book. We draw your attention to the fact that the Ukrainian Book Institute organizes arrangements with a certain list of guests, meetings with other guests should be negotiated on their own. Translation during your negotiations is not provided.

What are professional programs for professionals?

Considering the last year’s survey of participants of the fair, most exhibitors expressed their desire to attend professional events. The organizers responded to the interest of the participants of the fair, so we offer you a selection of professional events that will take place within the framework of the festival.

So, in cooperation with the Kyiv-Mohyla Business School (kmbs), a special project “Creators of the Future” is being launched to open up a whole range of useful content, public discussions about the most important business trends, Ukrainian and world economies, launch a discussion on Ukrainian entrepreneurship, as well as determine the vector of development of not only Ukrainian business literature, but also books based on the stories of successful Ukrainians.

This year, for the first time, the EUNIC Ukraine cluster, which includes European cultural centers, with the support of the EU Culture Bridges program, will present on the Book Arsenal a professional platform called “Booking the Future”, aimed at strengthening the competence of the book sector, its integration into the international context, the development of professional contacts and networks. To these questions, the 10 leading experts in the book and media industry from the UK, France, Austria, Germany, Poland, Greece, Italy, the Czech Republic and Hungary will respond in a special program within the framework of the business scene of the festival, presenting the latest experience of their own countries and unique professional insights, innovations in promotion and distribution, and reflections on global processes in book publishing.

Does the Book Arsenal have a partner hotel?

Mystetskyi Arsenal cooperates with the hotel “Mir”, which gives our participants and guests a discount of 30%. If you are interested in such an option, we ask you to inform the Organizers as soon as possible, because the number of seats is limited.
